A year or two ago, MAKE UP FOR EVER released this stunning highlight/contour combo where I really lusted over the highlight but didn’t have much interest in the contour. I desperately wanted them to sell the highlighter separately. If you felt the same, you were probably also thrilled by their launch of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Light Fusion Highlighter, available in Golden Pink and Golden.
I’ve been testing out the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Light Fusion Highlighter in Golden Pink for awhile now, and I’ve definitely fallen in love. It comes in MUFE’s classic black plastic packaging, which is nice and sturdy, no-fuss professional-looking with a much-appreciated mirror on the lid. The highlighter itself is a very generous pan (9 grams) with a gorgeous, fabric-like embossing design and a wavy appearance, although sadly it does start to wear away with use.
In terms of the shade, the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Light Fusion Highlighter in Golden Pink (or Rose Gold, my press release says one, Sephora says another) is a light pink with soft warm undertones. I don’t really find it gold, but it’s a very lovely shade especially in the cooler weather. It has soft, smooth formula that is easy to apply subtly but also build up on the cheeks.
Even though the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Light Fusion Highlighter in Golden Pink has a metallic finish it looks very natural when applied to the skin and gives a perfect glow. It is also quite long-lasting, so you don’t have to reapply your glow at lunch in order to convince your co-workers it comes from within.
I was really thrilled to see MAKE UP FOR EVER releasing some standalone highlighters and they did not disappoint. There are still only two shades, but if you have light to medium skin I highly recommend the MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Light Fusion Highlighter in Golden Pink, and otherwise make sure to check out the shade Golden. Hopefully MUFE decides to further expand the range in the future!
Have you tried a MAKE UP FOR EVER highlighter before? What do you think of this one?
