In the midst of reviewing my new MAC lipsticks (Fast Play and Craving) I realized I really should share the other shades in my collection. I swear, something about MAC lipsticks just demands their own post, so I’ll start off today with a fall favourite, MAC Plumful Lipstick, and potentially you’ll see a few more posts in the future. At least, know that I have good intentions.
I think that MAC Plumful Lipstick is one of the most popular options from the brand, so you probably don’t need me to tell you about it, but at the same time, it’s such a lovely shade I figured I’d add so gushing of my own. MAC Plumful Lipstick is a lustre finish (similar to Capricious, which I reviewed here) which means it’s shiny, slightly sheer, and has a balmier consistency that I find very comfortable to wear.
MAC Plumful Lipstick is a pink plum that’s perfect for fall or any other time of year. The translucency to it means that it will vary depending on your natural lip colour, and as a result I find that it looks pinker on me than it does on many other people, where it leans more berry (see it on Jodi, who I convinced to buy it!).
MAC Plumful lasts 2 to 3 hours on my lips, which is what I would expect for a lustre. In comparison to MAC Capricious, MAC Plumful is pinker and has no shimmer in it. It’s almost more berry-toned and less muted than MAC Syrup, another lustre shade I adore. It has a gorgeous shiny finish that’s really flattering to my lips, which is especially important as the weather cools down!
The very first time I purchased MAC lipsticks I bought two: Syrup and Plumful. At the time, I was only planning to pick up Syrup, but when I tried Plumful on I just couldn’t resist this gorgeous pink plum shade either. I ended up taking it home as well, and I have no regrets. Have you fallen in love with MAC Plumful yet?
