Although I might not be blogging nearly as much as I used to, I can definitely still make time to test out some new MAC goodies, so there will be a couple posts this week, starting off with the MAC James Kaliardos Lipstick in Coral Bliss.
The MAC James Kaliardos Lipstick in Coral Bliss is a limited edition lipstick which is part of the MAC Spring/Summer 2017 Collection. The collection includes collaborations with three makeup maestros: Kaliardos, Diane Kendal and Kabuki.
In terms of packaging, MAC Coral Bliss comes in a sleek black tube that trades the classic MAC silver detailing for a gold logo and design.
The MAC James Kaliardos Lipstick in Coral Bliss is a light coral with a cremesheen finish that is semi-translucent. It’s creamy and comfortable on the lips and definitely the perfect shade for a Spring/Summer collection. It has the classic and wonderful MAC vanilla scent.
You’ll have to forgive the shape that my lips are in with this winter weather, even though I’ve been reaching for my lip scrub they definitely aren’t the best for swatches. Despite that, the MAC James Kaliardos Lipstick in Coral Bliss applies pretty nicely and looks good from a regular distance. I do wish it was a little bit more opaque or a little more sheer, because the cremesheen formula is a tad slippery, but I am sure the unevenness will disappear once my lips have some moisture again.
I am always excited by a new MAC Collection and the MAC James Kaliardos collaboration has a lot of great products but if you’re looking for a classic, flattering coral I definitely recommend Coral Bliss. There’s just something so wonderful about a MAC lipstick!
Do you reach for coral in the Spring? It’s definitely one of my favourite shades when the weather warms up!
