I just came home from an exhausting day with fieldwork, sun, and a headache, but I’m in a great mood because a) I finished a (first, VERY rough) draft of the paper I’m working and b) I have some lovely new lipsticks to share with you! The MAC Fashion Pack collection is filled with bright, vibrant shades and I have been testing out two of the lipsticks, in By Special Order and Stylist’s Tip.
MAC Fashion Pack Lipsticks in By Special Order and Stylist’s Tip both have an amplified finish, which means that they are very creamy and pigmented. I own a few lipsticks in this formula (like Cosmo and Fast Play) and I really like it. It’s initially shiny but does dry down a bit over time which helps keep it from moving around too much, but it’s always very comfortable to wear. Both shades last at least a few hours, although By Special Order lasts slightly longer.
MAC By Special Order Lipstick is described as a deep reddened fuchsia, which is definitely quite red on me but with cool undertones and pink lean to it. It does leave behind a slight stain.
MAC Stylist’s Tip Lipstick is described as a deep violet. This pinky, warm purple is slightly less opaque than By Special Order but still applies very evenly. It’s also a great shade for a more “wearable” purple. Maybe someday I’ll wear this one outside the house, because it is really pretty!
The MAC Fashion Pack Collection includes some gorgeous vibrant lipsticks and if you’re looking to add one (or more…) to your collection I highly recommend checking it out. Both By Special Order and Stylist’s Tip have an excellent formula but there’s something about the bright red tones of By Special Order that just wins me over. These gorgeous shades are available now, but limited edition so make sure to act soon!
Have you tried out the MAC Amplified finish? What do you think of By Special Order and Stylist’s Tip?
