Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub Review

Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub 4After falling in love with the Lush Buffy Body Butter I was suddenly quite interested in all of the other Lush solid scrubs, which lead me to the recently launched Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub*. I mean, there are a few options and I want to try them all, but this one has the Lord of Misrule scent!

Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub 3Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub combines granulated sugar with murumuru butter and cocoa butter for a scrub that leaves my skin smooth and soft. Similar to Buffy, this is a product that must be stored dry. I keep it in a Lush tin, but you could also remove it from the shower after use, because it definitely melts.

Possibly because this bar uses sugar instead of ground rice and almonds, I actually find that I’m going through the Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub quicker than the Buffy, although I’ve still gotten a couple of weeks of use. It’s also slightly cheaper, so the value is probably about the same.

Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body ScrubI really do love the Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub though. It gives a pretty strong exfoliation which is quite satisfying on my legs–if you’re looking for something you barely feel this is not the right pick. I don’t think it’s quite as moisturizing as Buffy, but I can still skip the lotion after the shower. In terms of the scent, it’s a sweeter variation of Lord of Misrule, and it’s available year-round!

Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub 2Well, the Lush The Rough With The Smooth Body Scrub was everything I hoped it would be! If you’re looking for an intense scrub with a great scent that doesn’t leave your skin dry, this is a fantastic option. Of course, there are two other new solid scrubs from Lush as well, a floral Rub Rub Rub and the Salt and Peppermint Bark option for Christmas. I may need to try them all before I pick a favourite…
