I just got a nice package of goodies from the Lush Halloween 2013 Collection that I thought I’d share! I will definitely be reviewing these products as I use them but because 2 of them are Limited Edition I figured I’d do a brief post on them and I guess what my “first impressions” of these products are.
The first two Lush Halloween 2013 products I’m sharing are the limited edition ones special for the holiday, and they are both vegan, while the second two are products from the permanent Lush line that are just perfect for the holiday. First, heads up, I’m very sick at the moment and have basically no sense of smell, which makes it hard to go into detail on these products.
Pumkin Bubble Bar* ($5.95) (LE)
“Crumble this mischievous little character into the tub to lavish yourself in mounds of cozy bubbles and soft, beautiful orange waters on a cool autumn night. Pumkin shares its earthy, floral fragrance with our year-round Figs and Leaves soap!”
This is so cute! I actually had and used the “Mumkin” a similar product for Mother’s Day (see my Lush Haul here) that smelled delicious and was so much fun to use, although I broke it into 3 pieces which I think was one too many. I love pumpkins and Halloween so I’ll definitely have a lot of fun using this one in my bath! It really makes your bath so much more relaxing with some bubbles.
Lord of Misrule Bath Bomb* ($5.95) (LE)
“Lord of Misrule brings revelry to the tub with a spicy herbal blend of patchouli and black pepper oil. As it slowly froths in the water, hypnotic swirling silver luster is released and the deep green exterior soon gives way to a rich, wine-colored center.”
I’ve never tried a Lush Bath Bomb before! I have always wanted to but it is a spurge I haven’t allowed myself, and I can’t wait. Swirling silver luster? Sounds amazing, I just hope it’s not too messy! I’m very intrigued by this “wine-colored” centre as well.
Ceridwen’s Cauldron* ($8.45)
“Slip into our enchanting potion of oats, lavender and sandalwood to calm and soothe your irritated, sensitive skin. If you’re wishing for relief, we can guarantee that this bath melt it will make your skin dreams come true. Rich, nutritious cocoa butter and walnut oil melt into the bath water to quench and soften your dehydrated skin, frothing ever so slightly, leaving you with a muslin bag of whole oats to give your skin a soothing and gently scented scrub for instant relief from redness and itch.”
The ingredients in this one just sound delicious and so relaxing, which is something I could really use lately. Especially with dryer skin in this weather, I think this will be the perfect escape!
Demon in the Dark Soap* ($7.95/100g)
“It’s not really a Demon; it’s more of an earthy tingly delight for the skin and a wicked refreshment for the senses. Wrapped in a layer of black wax, (which you peel off before you use it, or you won’t get clean!), underneath lies a forest green cleansing treat to suds up dirt-demons. We make it with fresh mint and antioxidant-rich fresh organic apple juice to stimulate the surface of the skin and leave it brighter and cleaner. We then perfume it with invigorating peppermint, stimulating spearmint and warming clove bud. Let it unleash the power within you!”
Even though this is a year-round soap, and not a part of the Lush Halloween 2013 Collection, just look how perfect it is for Halloween! It looks really neat but the scent description itself (and what I can get of it despite my cold) is a bit strong for me where I usually prefer vanilla and sweet scents. It looks really cool though and I’m excited to test it out when I can actually smell and judge for myself.
What do you think of the Lush Halloween 2013 collection? Anything you’ll be picking up? Let me know if there’s something you want reviewed right away, I can’t wait to start taking these baths!
