Another Lush Christmas review! I know there’s been a few of these lately, but I do love the holiday collection and it’s Limited Edition so I want to finish up my reviews before it DISAPPEARS FOREVER. Just saying. Honestly, I’ll be pretty sad when the Lush Celebrate Hand and Body Lotion* disappears, it’s delicious.
According to the website, Lush Celebrate Body Lotion has been a bestseller in Japan for years, and I can completely understand why. It’s one of my favourite products from their Christmas collection and definitely the kind of thing you can use year round if they decided to make it permanent… *nudge nudge* The scent of Lush Celebrate Hand and Body Lotion has a fresh, delicious citrus scent that I absolutely love.
The Lush Celebrate Hand and Body Lotion is also the first Lush product I’ve gotten in one of their black tubs. These tubs are awesome because as they show on them, you can return 5 for a free face mask. I wish Lush did that with all their packaging. Many of their products are “naked” without packaging, but I’d love if I could exchange my showergels too. I guess that means I just have an excuse to buy more black tub products in the future.
Another really cool thing? Lush Celebrate Body Lotion is preservative-free. It is definitely more than I would usually spend on a lotion (the tub costs about $30) but this is also a luxurious and natural product. Now that I have it, I’m hooked. I’ll also say that I feel like you don’t need a ton of product at a time so this will last me awhile, although like all preservative-free products you don’t want to hold onto this forever either. Guess it’ll have to replace my other lotions for the moment… Can’t say I’m sad about it!
Lush Celebrate Hand and Body Lotion is pretty light, but although the texture isn’t heavy the lotion is very moisturizing. I usually use it as a body lotion and it absorbs into your skin really well and leaves it feeling very soft. I’ve been using it after I shower and I love it. I can definitely notice a difference when I’m using it. The delicious citrus scent also lasts a pretty long time–– I usually shower a few hours before I go to bed and I can still smell it when I do go to sleep.
Have you tried a preservative-free lotion before? Let me know what you think, I’m very new to the idea but so far I notice absolutely no difference, and in fact like this one better than a lot of my other lotions.
