One of the issues with trying not to take too long to review a product is that sometimes opinions change, and with the L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara* taking a couple extra weeks before writing this post has definitely made me enjoy this product even more!
The L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara is a new variation of the L’Oréal Miss Manga Mascara I reviewed back in September, which features a totally different brush and a texturizing, volumizing formula. The mascaras definitely look related from the packaging, and the neon yellow instead of pink does give this one a rocker edge.
While the original featured a natural fibre “Christmas tree” brush, the L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara brush is a plastic brush very short bristles. It has 360 degrees of spikes and it’s great for getting even those little lashes at the inner corner. The formula is extra black.
When I first started using it the L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara it was much too wet for my taste, so I did get a little bit of clumping, as you can tell in the above photo. Still, it helped provide volume with a dash of length while still being appropriate for daily wear. However, the reason that the L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara grew on me was because it dried out a bit and although it still gives a similar look to my lashes, I find it easier to apply now.
Although the L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara isn’t my favourite mascara ever, it is pretty nice for daily wear, especially now that it’s had a chance to dry out a bit. I definitely prefer to the new L’Oreal Miss Manga Rock Mascara to the original L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascara, so if you are looking for a thicker volume and a little bit of spike this is definitely worth looking into.
Have you tried the L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascaras yet? Do you have a preference between the two?
