L’Oreal Exclusive Nudes Collection by Color Riche Nail Polish are six shades of nude polish from six L’Oreal ambassadors, meant for a variety of skintones and with six matching lipsticks to go with them. I have all the lipsticks as well and will share them in a later post, but today I have four of the L’Oreal Collection Privee Exclusive Nudes Nail Polishes in the shades Doutzen*, Eva*, Julianne*, and Liya*. I really appreciate how diverse the shade selection is, and I think that no matter what your skintone you should be able to find a nude among the six shades that works for you!
The first shade is Doutzen’s Nude, a soft mauve beige shade–yes, that’s the best description I can do– that has a gorgeous formula and is opaque with two coats. I think this is definitely one of the shades from the L’Oreal Collection Privee Exclusive Nudes Nail Polishes that would be the most universally-flattering and although I don’t often wear nude polishes, I do think this is quite pretty.
The most sheer shade of the four I have from the L’Oreal Collection Privee Exclusive Nudes Nail Polishes is Eva’s Nude, and it’s also the only one with shimmer in it. I ended up going with four coats of polish although you could probably get away with three thick ones. This is a light sandy beige with golden shimmer and while the end result worked, it was honestly so close to my own skin colour it made me a bit uncomfortable and I can’t see myself wearing this although it could be quite pretty on a different skintone.
Julianne’s Nude was the most unexpected shade from the L’Oreal Collection Privee Exclusive Nudes Nail Polishes, as it’s a light dusty salmon shade, but the formula on this one was great as well. I needed two coat for full coverage. I appreciate L’Oreal doing something unusual within a nude collection, and I definitely see how this shade could be quite wearable and work-appropriate.
The final shade I have to share from the L’Oreal Collection Privee Exclusive Nudes Nail Polishes is Liya’s Nude, which definitely was my favourite. I love how this shade is neutral but purple with a lot of taupe in it at the same time, and I think this would be a perfect colour for fall. I tested this shade out and had decent wear on it, although chips and tip wear are pretty obvious on such a dark shade it lasted about three days on me before I needed to change it.
Overall, I’ve never been a huge fan of nude nail polishes but the formula and shade range of L’Oreal Collection Privee Exclusive Nudes Nail Polishes is excellent and if the lipsticks live up what I have seen from the polishes I will be very happy!
Which of these nude shades if your favourite?
