I’m not always the most excited to blog about skincare but I was actually looking forward to sharing the L’Occitane Soothing Fluid* and Comforting Oil* because I have been really enjoying these two great products. I do have a favourite though, so keep reading to find out what it is. Or scroll to the bottom and be a big cheater!
Packaged in a hygienic pump, the L’Occitane Soothing Fluid is a light lotion intended for sensitive skin. It has 5% Shea butter and a light Shea scent. It also contains muscat rose oil and calendula oil to help nourish, add moisture and sooth the skin. I love that the packaging is airproof (you can’t unscrew the lid) to help prevent bacteria growth. Despite the lightweight consistency, I find that the L’Occitane Soothing Fluid is actually quite moisturizing, and it absorbs into the skin really well.
I’m still new to the world of facial oils but I am completely in love with the L’Occitane Comforting Oil already. It also comes in a pump bottle, and contains 5% Shea as well as marula oils. I love the scent and the oil itself is nourishing dry oil that absorbs without feeling greasy on the skin. It’s meant for dry skin and I find it very nourishing and perfect for winter weather.
My favourite way to use the new L’Occitane Soothing Fluid and Comforting Oil is actually combined together! One pump of each in is enough to apply to my face after cleansing, although I usually go back for more to do my neck as well. If you have intensely dry skin you might use these products in the morning, but for me they are perfect for my evening skincare. I find the combination very soothing on my skin and they have helped make my skin look smooth as well as heal up dry patches I had.
If you are looking to update your winter skincare regime I definitely recommend looking into the L’Occitane Soothing Fluid and Comforting Oil. I promised to share my favourite and it’s definitely the oil, but I have really enjoyed using the two products together and that will be my go-to combination until I have to move on and test another product. A beauty blogger’s job is never done!
