I’ve had some bad, super drying experiences with natural shampoos in the past so even though I was interested in their shampoo after loving the Live Clean Sheer Light Skin Perfecting Dry Body Oil, I wasn’t sure how well it would actually work. I recently received three of the “Hair Heroes” from Live Clean and while I’ll be reviewing them all, given the cold weather and my dry scalp and hair, my easy first choice was the Live Clean Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo and Conditioner*.
The Live Clean Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo and Conditioner have a subtle but warm Argan Oil scent. They are enriched with 100% pure Argan Oil as well as grape seed and olive oils to help nourish, hydrate and bring lots of shine to your hair. As you can always expect with Live Clean products, they are filled with great ingredients and missing ones like SLS, Sulfats, DEA, Parabens, Phthalates, and Phosphates.
Both the Live Clean Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo and Conditioner lather well, with the conditioner having a much thicker consistency. After months of dry scalp, I won’t say it is totally healed, but this is honestly the best experience I have had with a shampoo and conditioner that I can remember. My hair is silky and shiny, and my scalp is much less itchy than it was. I do like the leave the conditioner on for a few minutes, just to get the most possible nourishment, but I don’t find it weighs down my hair at all.
In addition to the shampoo and conditioner, the Live Clean Exotic Nectar Argan Oil also includes an oil treatment, hair cream, body lotion, conditioning mask, leave in spray, body wash, hand soap and hand cream, all of which I’m sure would be great to use during the winter weather.
I’m going to be really sorry to stop using the Live Clean Argan Oil Restorative Shampoo and Conditioner in order to test out the brand’s other offerings, but based on the past two weeks this is not only the best natural shampoo and conditioner I’ve used, they are two of my very favourites ever. These are easily products I would repurchase, and I highly recommend them if you are dealing with a dry scalp. The more I try from Live Clean, the more I fall in love with the brand. So tell me, do you have a favourite Live Clean product?
