If there’s one item I look forward to with each Lise Watier seasonal collection, it’s definitely a stunning new eyeshadow palette. Luckily, the Lise Watier Spring 2016 Variations De Nudes Collection does not disappoint, and I have the Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette* as well as the Gourmand Lip Balm in Rouge* and Double Perfection Lift & Fill Eyebrow Duo to share with you today.
First off, the brows. The Lise Watier Spring 2016 Variations De Nudes Collection introduces a new permanent product to the LW family, which is the Lise Watier Double Perfection Lift & Fill Eyebrow Duo. This dual-ended product has a creamy highlight on one end, and a fibre-filled brow mascara on the other. This product is available in two shades, Chatain which is for light brows, as well as Brun Universel, which I have. This is a medium to dark brown which would definitely work on a lot of brows, but unfortunately is too light and warm for mine.
I applied the Lise Watier Double Perfection Lift & Fill Eyebrow Duo to the brow on your left, and you can see what a great job it does filling in the brows. Not only that, but it helps hold them in place. The highlight is really subtle but does help define the brow as well. While I didn’t full test because it was the wrong shade, I wore it while working out and it still looked great afterwards, so I expect that this would last all day. I hope that this product is expanded into more shades because so far I really love it.
I always gush over Lise Watier palettes, but if you’re disappointed you missed out on the amazing Lise Watier Palette Rivages Eyeshadow Palette then you’ll be super excited to see the Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette is now available. This sleek neutral palette is half mattes, half shimmers and although launching as a part of the Lise Watier Spring 2016 Variations De Nudes Collection, it’s actually going to be a permanent product.
The Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette is sturdy with a large mirror on the lid, and each eyeshadow is 1 gram. I’m pretty excited to see that Lise Watier has made progress towards ditching their foam applicators, and there’s now a dual-ended brush/foam applicator included. I really love Lise Watier brushes, so I’m hopeful they turn it into a real dual-ended brush someday in the future.
Honestly, there’s no reason to discuss the formula of each shade in the Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette because they are all perfect. The top row is all mattes, including Amande, a pale cream, Peau de Peche, a pale peachy cream, Argile, a warm light brown, Terre, a cool earthy brown, Caramel, a dark mustard, and Cendre, a dark brown. These mattes are buildable, blendable, and a great range of shades. LOVE.
The bottom row of the Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette are shimmers, which is actually the formula I usually associate with the brand and these shades do not disappoint. Lumiere, a pale cream, Satin, a peachy champagne, Cacao, a warm chocolate brown (which is actually matte), Nude, a brown beige, Tresor, a dark gold, and Rose Etain, a taupe. If possible, these shades are even nicer than the mattes, and they create a stunning palette with absolutely no duds.
I really love the look I created using the Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette, even if it is kinda an expected “Zoë” look. I just regret not using Caramel... For this look, I used the shade Lumiere on my inner corner, and then blended that out to Satin across the lid. Then I applied Rose etain on the outer half of the lid. I used Terre in the crease and blended out all the shades using Argile. Finally, I used Amande as a brown bone highlight.
The Lise Watier Spring 2016 Variations De Nudes Collection also includes a limited edition lip formula I was really excited about. The Lise Watier Gourmand Lip Balm is available in three shades which are Rose, Corail, and the one I have, Rouge. This is tinted lip balm in a sleek tube with a unique rounded tip–although I have already flattened mine.
The Gourmand Lip Balm in Rouge is a sheer red balm that’s very forgiving on winter lips and the perfect way to start reaching for reds if you’re a bit intimidated like I am. It has a moisturizing formula and a really delicious caramel scent.
For my Lise Watier Spring 2016 Variations De Nudes Collection look I used the Lise Watier Gourmand Lip Balm in Rouge along with the Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette. I am did use the highlighter from the Lise Watier Double Perfection Lift & Fill Eyebrow Duo, but not the brow end. I honestly felt really bright, fresh and ready for spring! Just in time for another snow storm… That great glow on the cheeks is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Incandescent Electra, but there’s a gorgeous ombre blush as a part of the Variations De Nudes Collection.
There are a lot of exciting limited edition as well as permanent products launching as a part of the Lise Watier Spring 2016 Variations De Nudes Collection. In particular, I highly recommend the Lise Watier Simply Nudes 12-Colour Eyeshadow Palette which I love for so many reasons including the great range of shades (not a whole bunch of blacks I won’t use) and amazing formula.
Have you tried Lise Watier eyeshadows yet? You really need to!
