Sometimes I am a bit lazy about posts that have a lot of photos because it’s a lot of work and I’m sorry to tell you that’s exactly what happened here but then I was sitting own to write a post with only four photos in it and I felt guilty. I am keeping some wonderful products from you for far too long simply because I didn’t want to edit and upload all my photos. But, NO MORE. Today I bring you the lovely Lise Watier Lumière Cushion Compact, Cushion Blusher & Calligraph Cushion Eyeliner. Tomorrow I bring you..no post because I’ll likely be burnt out after this.
Starting off with the classic, there’s the brand new Lise Watier Lumière Cushion Compact Liquid Foundation-to-Go, a refillable cushion foundation available in three shades. Although I wish the shade range was more extensive, it’s sheer enough that the shades are fairly flexible and the foundation itself is really lovely. The packaging has a mirror on the inside of the lid and also includes a pad for application. It can get a little messy if stored upside down, so this isn’t a product I’d take traveling with me, but it’s perfect for using at home.
I’m wearing the lightest shade, Rosé, of the Lise Watier Lumière Cushion Compact. As you can tell, it’s a very sheer coverage but it evens out my skintone and gives me a bit of a natural glow. It’s definitely a “my skin but better” foundation, and for good skin days, I love the result.
To go with your foundation, there’s the Lise Watier Beauty Cushion Blusher Liquid Blush-to-go. This was my first time trying out a cushion blush, which is available in one shade so far and comes in a smaller version of the foundation packaging. This is a sheer red blush which looks a bit coral to me and gives a very natural look when applied despite how bright it is in the…cushion. It’s also buildable. I think it’s a great option for those “no makeup makeup days” and I definitely hope that Lise Watier comes out with more shades (purple please…I think a purple blush would be perfect in this formula!)
The final cushion product included in these new launches is the Lise Watier Calligraph Cushion Eyeliner. This is a pigmented, semi-matte black liner in a cushion packaging that is very similar to the Stila Got Inked Cushion Eye Liner although without the metallic finish. Although this liner swatches really nicely, I find it a bit harder to pick up the amount I need on a brush (that’s what the right swatch is) so I have to apply more than one layer. I’m honestly not sure that the cushion format adds much to the liner experience, but it may prevent it from drying out as quickly and it is a nice liner, so if you’re looking for a new black one…consider it!
Notice I said the final cushion product? I actually have one more product to share and it’s a good one. The Lise Watier Eyeliner Precision Brush is a brush with a very narrow, precise tip and a comfortable handle perfect for applying liner. I have two brushes from Lise Watier already, both fan brushes, but they’ve held up great and I really wanted to try out more from them. This brush did not disappoint! It definitely lives up to the precision name and I’ve experienced no shedding when washing it.
In the above look I’m wearing all the products featured in this review. I guess that’s all the stuff I have to say here. I like them!
I really love how natural and comfortable cushion products are and these new ones from Lise Watier definitely fit that criteria. My favourite is definitely the foundation and that liner brush, but the blush and eyeliner are great as well.
Have you tried a cushion foundation yet? What about a cushion blush?
