I have honestly adored the previous two Lancome lip products I tried (the Lip Lover and Rouge in Love) so I was definitely interested in trying out the new format. The Lancome L’Absolu Nu 205 Beige Charnel* and 302 Rose Ideal* are two shades of a nourishing and sheer lipstick from the brand that’s easy and comfortable to wear.
The first shade I tried out is Lancome L’Absolu Nu 205 Beige Charnel, which is a light brown-toned shade that makes my lips look less pink and more nude. I tend to go for more pinky-nudes, but because this one is quite sheer, it still looks nice and is very wearable. The most notable feature of these lipsticks is how comfortable they are, it really is like wearing a lip balm and I think they will be especially nice as the weather gets colder.
The second shade I tried is a gorgeous pink, Lancome L’Absolu Nu 302 Rose Ideal. It’s more noticeable on my lips than Beige Charnel, but still subtle. Both shades are very moisturizing and quite sheer, so they are definitely not long-lasting and I only get about an hour or two tops out of them. However, at least Lancome L’Absolu Nu 205 Beige Charnel and 302 Rose Ideal are both very easy to reapply without a mirror.
I can’t finish a Lancome review without mentioning the packaging! These lipsticks are very classy with a black bullet with a rose print on it and a gold tube inside. The caps are also magnetic which is pretty much my favourite thing ever. It’s a little strange but one of my lipsticks has a rose embossed on it and the other doesn’t, as it was a sample I assume it was a mistake.
Overall, Lancome L’Absolu Nu 205 Beige Charnel and 302 Rose Ideal are both comfortable, wearable shades that feel good on my lips and although you will have reapply often, I don’t really mind with such sleek packaging and such a great product!
Have you ever heard of the Lancome L’Absolu Nu line? I haven’t seen it blogged about before, and I love it!
