Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga

Lady Gaga Eau de GagaOne of the few fragrances I expect to finish in 2015 is my bottle of Lady Gaga Fame Eau De Parfum, and even when I posted that review back in October I was excited for the artist’s next launch, Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga*, which I have finally gotten my hands on!

Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga 2Compared to how amazing the first offering was (seriously, just go look at it, BLACK perfume) the Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga is nice but not quite as remarkable. The bottle has a heavy weight to it and is a very shiny black with an engraved silver nameplate. I thought it was neat that even the nozzle was black, but packaging-wise, this definitely looks a lot more masculine that most of my perfumes–that makes sense, because Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga is a unisex fragrance, but in my slightly ridiculous perfume collection, it doesn’t quite stand out.

Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga 4Of course, what really matters is what’s inside the bottle, and as I said, Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga is actually marketed as being for both men and women (I mean, technically any fragrance is, but there are definitely scents that come across more “masculine”). When first sprayed, there’s a very brief hit of lime and bright citrus that soon fades into a strong leather with a hint of white violet. There are glimpses of the citrus, but it really dries down into a woodsy, musky scent.

Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga 3Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga is a spicy scent and definitely something I would reach for in the evening over the day, although it does last all day on the skin. Despite being long-lasting, and quite a strong scent, it’s not one that is overwhelming because after a few hours it does sit fairly close to the skin.

Fame remains a firm favourite (say that ten times fast) but if you are looking for woodsy, slightly masculine scent for cold winter nights out I would recommend giving Lady Gaga Eau de Gaga a try. Do you have a favourite celebrity fragrance? I have another wintery offering from Katy Perry coming up soon!
