KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light Blue Kit

Apparently it’s a weekend for nail art, because after yesterday’s post I have another fun, easy, look to share (and I definitely want to do more of these). This is a basic abstract look that I accomplished using the KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light Blue Kit* and that comes with polishes that have precision control brushes along with a few other nail art goodies. KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light BlueThe KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light Blue Kit contains a polish in blue, pink, and purple, all in lighter, but bright, shades. Each polishes has a thin, pointed brush for nail art. There are also two sheets of nail guides, a rounded and pointed one, along with a sheet of flat silver sequins. I used the sequins along with all three polishes, and although it’s not the most exciting look I had fun trying to be creative with my nails.

I first started with two coats of my white polish, Essie Blanc, because I wanted a bright base for neon contrast with the colours. I then applied haphazard lines of each colour in the KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light Blue Kit to my ringer finger to create a sort of abstract art look. On my other nails I applied a silver sequin to the base. I finished everything up with a glossy top coat.

I admit that I had some difficulty using the sequins as you can probably tell on my index finger. I think that’s because my white base wasn’t fully dry, and they aren’t rounded so it’s a bit more difficult to get off the sheet than I expected. I really love the shades of all the polishes in the KISS Nail Artist MDK07 kit, and if they were bottles with normal brushes I would easily wear any of them. They are definitely a bit sheer as you can tell from the parts of my nail where they overlap, but I think they still give a good coverage and it’s definitely not like I needed a second coat of any of them.

The interesting thing about the precision control brushes is that I had a lot harder time using them than a normal brush because they were so longer. However, most nail art brushes come this way, so I think it just takes a bit of practice to get used to it. I am definitely excited to create more looks using the KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light Blue Kit in the future– you can expect more amateur nail art to follow!

KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light Blue KitI think the KISS Nail Artist Dali Purple, Pink, Light Blue Kit is a great option if you are looking for some bright, pretty colours to use in nail art. It also comes with some fun bonuses. I have definitely been impressed by the quality of KISS products and they do a lot of fun sets for nail art, including a galaxy one that looks awesome. I know this is a really basic look, but I can only imagine what somebody a little more experienced in nail art could do!

How do you feel about nail art? Also, how do you feel about my “super basic” nail art posts? Let me know cause I am wondering how much of my journey into trying out nail art I should share, but I do like seeing looks I know I could accomplish, even if they are really simple.
