Earlier this year I shared Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado which had limited edition packaging as a part of a collaboration to help save puffins. I loved both the cream and the cause, so I was really excited to learn about the Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids with Lights Ultra Facial Cream* collaboration.
Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids is a special campaign that supports MusiCounts, an organization whose mission is to ensure Canadian children–regardless of socio-economic circumstances or cultural background–have assess to a music program. It’s really perfect that the brand paired up with Canadian musician Lights for this program, which includes the sale of the Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids with Lights Ultra Facial Cream with 100% of net profits being donated to MusiCounts.
The Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids with Lights Ultra Facial Cream has a limited edition label with an original illustration by Lights, featuring a gorgeous girl with mermaid hair. It has been available since September 18th. Lights also partnered up with Kiehl’s in September for two secret, acoustic performances to thank fans for their support. The goal of the campaign is to raise $50,000 for MusiCounts.
Inside the lovely Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids with Lights Ultra Facial Cream packaging is the same great permanent product from the brand. It’s a richer version of the iconic Ultra Facial Moisturizer, and it was first released in 2005 and first tested on “Greenland First Ascent”, an expedition that took place to record the effects of global warming.
The 125 mL Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids with Lights Ultra Facial Cream tub is pretty giant, and I’ve been using it for a month and have hardly made a dent. It is also available in a 50 mL size. I always prefer a pump packaging for product, but since I’m washing my face (and hands) before applying a facial moisturizer, it’s not as big of a concern.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream has a light texture to it that absorbs into my skin very easily but still leaves it feeling very moisturized and soft. It has no scent and I think it would work well on most skin types. The Kiehl’s Rocks for Kids with Lights Ultra Facial Cream combines a great product with a great cause, so if you’re looking for a new moisturizer or a great gift, this is definitely something I recommend checking out!
