Kiehl’s Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment

I don’t have the best skin, and I’m often getting at least a couple breakouts, so I love experimenting with new skincare that claims to help stop them. I recently spent about a month using Kiehl’s Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment* as a spot treatment and I’m ready to share my thoughts on the product.
Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment 3Kiehl’s Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment is a salicylic acid treatment that contains 1.5% and claims to help both clear blemishes and help to reduce the appearance of marks. The texture is a thin, lightweight lotion, and it absorbs easily into my skin leaving behind no visible residue which makes it fine for applying both in the morning before makeup as well as in the evening. It comes in a very large tube (30 mL) and it will last me a few months even with daily use.

Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing TreatmentIt is recommended to apply Kiehl’s Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment 1-3 times daily, and I definitely saw better results when I used it at least twice a day. Because of how gentle it is, I didn’t really have to worry about over-applying and unlike other spot treatments where too much use would leave me with red, peeling patches, my skin had no negative reaction to this even when I applied it to a general area (for example my chin) instead of just one spot. However, the fact that Kiehl’s Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment is gentle also means I didn’t get dramatic overnight results, but with regular use I was really happy with it and like not using something too harsh on my skin. I did have less scaring using a product like this than I do when I use something that really just “zaps” blemishes, so overall my skin looked better at the end.

Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment 2In terms of results, Kiehl’s Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment is pretty gentle and I definitely didn’t see overnight results. It would probably work well for a variety of skin types including those that are more sensitive because it is not overly drying. Used 2-3 times a day, Kiehl’s Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment definitely helped with the reduction and healing of blemishes.
