I’m back with some more empties! To be honest, I have two bags of empties that cover May, June and July, I’m really not sure what’s what anymore. I was traveling for 90% of May, so I think I combined them with my June empties, and given that there are some empties I know are from May in this bag…that’s what we’re going with. I’m going to try to get caught up on empties but at the same time, they are a lot of work for a blog post and I’m not sure they will continue to appear on this blog in 2017. I will try to finish out the year though. Let’s get started!
Starting off with some mostly travel empties, I have the The Body Shop Strawberry Body Polish, which smelled delicious and looked like jam, but wasn’t the best at polishing/exfoliating at my skin. I’ve also got a little Dove Cool Essentials Deodorant I picked up while traveling when I ran out (and tossed my deodorant then, so you don’t get to see it, ha). I also have a Kiehl’s Damage Repairing & Rehydrating Shampoo and Conditioner from the Kiehl’s event I went to, and I loved them both. Finally, there are two of the little Le Naturel White Tea samples from one of the hotels I stayed in, a Body Wash and Conditioner, and I did like the scent of these.
Life was so busy there wasn’t much time for baths, but I did manage to finish up the Lush Unicorn Horn (and I really hope they bring it back next year) as well as soothing Daisy & Pearl Lavender Bath Bomb. I’ve also got a little The Body Shop British Rose Body Butter, which I enjoyed, and a AG Hair Care Cleansing Cream which was really hard to get out of that container but seemed to do a good job.
I finished up both the Live Clean Vitamin Multi-Boost Shampoo and Conditioner, and loved both although my favourite haircare from the brand is still their Argan Oil line. I’ve also got a Compliments Nail Polish Remover, which is boring I know, and a Bath and Body Works Watermelon Lemonade Deep Cleansing Hand Soap, which smells delicious and I need candles in this scent again.
My skin felt great after using the Sephora Collection Face, Hand and Eye Masks, so if you’re looking for a nice sheet mask I recommend–especially the hand one. I also had a package of the Sephora Collection Cotton Pads, which were nice and really not that much more expensive than anything else you can find. Finally, I finished up a bottle of the Demeter Fragrance Hawaiian Vanilla scent, which is lovely but I do prefer other Demeter vanilla options.
This is going to remind me why I do these one month at a time…so many empties. I’ve also got a natural deodorant, the LaVanilla The Healthy Deodorant in Vanilla Lavender, and while the scent is nice I just don’t find these work for me, but I keep trying. I’ve also got a container of the Marcelle 3-in-1 Micellar Solution, which is fantastic. I love the tart scent of the Mark Crazy for Cranberry Body Scrub, but it was limited edition and is no longer available. The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream isn’t for sale anymore either, which makes me really sad. Finally, I have a little Duckish Body Butter in Grapefruit, which was a very heavy cream from a great local brand.
I have some makeup empties as I finished up the two brow products I was using, the Stila All Day Precision Glide Brow Pencil in Black, which actually broke before I could totally finish it, and the NYX Microbrow in Black, which I adore and I’m almost done a second one now. In terms of the L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara, I remember enjoying, but it’s not the first one I’m rushing out to repurchase, and the ELF Wet Gloss used to be my brow gel of choice but I don’t really find you get much in the tube and I’m definitely not buying it again.
I made it through a few nail products including sadly finishing my OPI Wipe-Off! polish remover wipes while I was traveling–these things are awesome and really effective. I had a base coat, the Sally Hansen Maximum Growth, a tiny Formula X Nail Polish and a tiny LA Colors Nail Polish as well.
I also finished up my Demeter Fragrance in Gingerbread, which was really sweet and delicious, as well as the Lady Gaga Fame perfume, which had an amazing bottle and really musky honey scent that I loved at first but got a bit tired of by the end (even though it was only a 15 mL bottle). I sadly said goodbye to my China Glaze Polish in Ruby Pumps, and it’s one of the prettiest shades of polish ever so if I didn’t have a dupe, it would be repurchased immediately. It was also time to toss a essie Ridge Filling Base Coat.
Now time for all the matcha. I really like matcha and those DAVIDsTEA Matcha Single Serves I bought on sale were great when traveling. I also had a tin of DAVIDsTEA Vanilla Matcha, which is also really yummy. DAVIDsTEA Key Lime makes a delicious iced tea.
I finished up a couple herbal teas including DAVIDsTEA Apple Custard, which is a warm tea from last winter that makes a delicious latte. DAVIDsTEA Ginger Peach Moringa was good but a bit too ginger sharp for me, and DAVIDsTEA Me to We was really sweet but pretty good.
I finished up my little bags of DAVIDsTEA Raspberry Cream Pie, which I liked, and DAVIDsTEA White Berry, which I didn’t (but I don’t usually like white teas). I also drank a little bag of DAVIDsTEA Honeycrisp Apple, which was pretty good especially since I don’t usually like green tea. I love love DAVIDsTEA Maple Sugar, but have way more in my stash in case they never bring it back. Yes, it’s getting old but it still tastes delicious.
And…that’s it! Now for some math…
