Julep Nan

Julep Nan 3I’m actually not really interested in red nail polish unless it’s on my toes (and even then, I wear socks all the time) but there’s something about Julep Nan that just really caught my attention. It’s was included in the month of the DD cream disaster and I luckily didn’t take a box, but when it showed up in a mystery box I ordered later, I was definitely interested in trying it out. Unfortunately, I never did, but that’s what Julep July is for!

Julep Nan 2What I like about Julep Nan is that it’s a faded red shade that’s warm-toned and quite unusual, or as Julep calls it a ” Nantucket red crème”. Like most of the Julep creme polishes it has a great formula, and it’s very shiny and opaque with two coats. There’s no top coat in these photos but I do find it incredibly glossy.

Julep NanEven though Julep Nan is really just a red creme polish, probably the first polish ever invented, there’s something unusual enough about it that I really love it and I’m happy to have it in my collection. Well done reinventing the wheel Julep, well done.
