Apparently the last time I took my monthly maven box was back in June (when I grabbed the full collection) but despite some very frustrating experiences involving me having to email every single month if I want to skip, I had some Maven points and decided to grab the Julep Maven November 2014 Bombshell Box.
The theme of the month was “Friendsgiving” and the Julep Maven November 2014 Bombshell Box contained two polishes, as well as a mascara, this was one came with the lengthening option as opposed to the volume one (which, in true Julep disorganized, was backordered and apparently many people are still waiting to receive).
Julep Maven November 2014 Bombshell Box includes the polish shades Jessie, which is described as a deep kalamata crème and is a very dark, near black shade that hopefully won’t actually appear black on the nail. The shade in the box that made me pick it was definitely Fazia, described as a liquid garnet shimmer that really looks like liquid metal in the bottle again, hoping that translates onto the nail! I am planning a Julep January so you can expect more swatches of my many (many) Julep polishes then.
I have way more mascara than I need, but even though it doesn’t have rave reviews I actually enjoyed the original Julep mascara, so I was interested in trying the Length Matters Wow-Impact Mascara included in the Julep Maven November 2014 Bombshell Box.
Julep Maven November 2014 Bombshell Box also included a ton of papers (the Christmas catalog, a coupon code DROP30 for 30% off, the quote paper, and the paper from the collection!) as well as two candies I can’t eat although at least they included the ingredient list this time so I knew that.
Overall, I can’t say I’m blown away by Julep these days but I am happy enough with my monthly box, and I will take advantage of the one or two free ones I have left. What do you think of the Julep Maven November 2014 Bombshell Box?
