Well in honour of Julep July and a lot of the polishes you are about to see swatched, I thought I would share my most recent Julep Maven box! This arrived super late (like, last week of June) which I wasn’t super impressed with but it is still fun to unbox the Julep Maven June 2014 Collection. I have been skipping the boxes for awhile but this time I decided to treat myself and I grabbed the entire Three Wishes Polish Lover Upgrade which includes all the polishes but none of the product.
Julep beauty products are hit or miss for me but I generally love their polish, and since it had been so long (SEPTEMBER!) since I had taken advantage of this subscription it was pretty exciting when my Julep Maven June 2014 Collection finally arrived. There’s usually an extra goodie tucked in, and this month it was three pixie sticks which goes well with the theme– and there were even ingredients listed, which I very much appreciate from Julep as that hasn’t always been the case in the past. There was shimmery gold tissue and matching “worms” and it was all very pretty and fun to open but not nearly as pretty and fun as what was inside the box!
I’m going to share the names and descriptions of the polishes included in the Julep Maven June 2014 Collection working from left to right using the below photo. They are all very shimmery and pretty– this was definitely not a month for cremes!
- Jennine (It Girl): Full-coverage borealis blue stardust (matte glitter)
- Phia (It Girl): Alluring orchid iridescent chrome
- Bergen (Classic with a Twist): Hazy blue-grey shimmer
- Harlow (Boho Glam): Golden dragonfly iridescent chrome
- Savoy (It Girl): Antique gold chrome
- Ariana (Classic with a Twist): Enchanted berry iridescent chrome
- Natalia (Boho Glam): Refined copper metallic
- Colette (Bombshell): Poetic violet shimmer
- Sera (Bombshell): Celestial fog iridescent chrome
Out of all the polishes in the Julep Maven June 2014 Collection I am probably most excited for Jennine— haven’t tried the stardust finish from Julep yet– and Ariana–cause she just looks so pretty. Of course I’m sure all the polishes will be gorgeous or I wouldn’t have gone for the full collection (although it’s also a better deal if you do, as I got all 9 for $45). The only one I’ve tried so far is Natalia, and I’m wearing her on my nails now and it’s gorgeous, metallic but no streaks! If you’re interested in subscribing to Julep, you can get your first box for free! Click this link and use the code FREEBOX to test it out. Make sure to read all the terms and conditions before you sign up. Also just today because it’s July 4th get $20 off of orders of $50 or more with the code FOURTH!
What do you think of the Julep Maven June 2014 Collection? Any polishes you are most excited to see swatched? The plan is to share them all this month!
