I bet my blog is starting to feel like deja-vu if you happen to be one of my two readers from when I first started, because Julep Marion is another polish I swatched before, along with Julep Rebel, as a part of my very first Julep Maven Starter Box. The swatches were… not ideal, so even though this polish is currently out of stock and I’m not sure if anyone will still be interested in swatches, I decided to share it again. Besides, Julep Marion has a secret.
The secret of Julep Marion is that this is a one coat wonder (OCW). That’s right, these photos are taking with only one coat of polish on my nails– with a base coat underneath. This polish will definitely stain so a good base coat is absolutely necessary. However the formula, while a tiny bit thick is fantastic for the opacity it gives. It also self-levels well so I don’t really mind the thickness in this case.
Julep Marion is incorrectly described by Julep as a “smoky blue with silver shimmer”, but I think it’s more a bright peacock blue with a hint of silver shimmer in it. Pretty colour and I love the coverage, but like I said, beware of the staining!
