Julep Etta

Julep Etta 2Julep Etta was available as an add on polish back in May 2013 when I got my first proper Julep Maven Box (check it out here) but I actually went for a product-only box. Despite that, Etta had caught my eye and when I was later able to swap for her I was excited to try light green metallic polish.

Julep EttaJulep Etta is sheer and shimmery with one coat, but it could easily work over a base colour, either a similar green or maybe black would be pretty. However, while two coats is nearly enough I ended up going for three coats to totally eliminate VNL. I was really happy with the finish–sparkly and shimmery, but without any brushstrokes. Yay.

Julep Etta 3I find metallic polishes aren’t the most long wearing but I have been wearing Julep Etta for about 24 hours with only slight wear, so that’s not too bad. I’m glad I finally pulled Julep Etta out of my collection for Julep July, I think the shade is really pretty with my warm-toned skin and this is one polish definitely going into the “keep” pile.
