Julep Bergen

Julep BergenIt’s getting it barely before midnight but I made it with a Julep post for the day–yay, I’m not totally behind! Apparently this swatch-a-day is harder than I thought and I’m not sure how I’m going to manage now that I’ve broken a nail today but I have a couple more days to share at least, starting with Julep Bergen, which was also found in the Julep Maven June Collection.

Julep Bergen 2Julep Bergen is greyish smokey blue with a subtle shimmer, which is way more blue than it appears in the Julep swatches and kind of reminds me of a cloudy day sky. It was sheer and a bit streaky with one coat, but when I went with two it was nicely opaque. I still find it a bit streaky though that might just be cause my nails aren’t so perfect, but I prefer the shade more than the finish of this one.

Julep Bergen 4I think I am just loving cream polishes these days because all I can think of is how much nicer Julep Bergen would be as a cream! That said, it’s still a pretty polish with a good formula, although I don’t think the colour is super-flattering on me, I’m happy enough with it.
