I have electricity again! I managed to get a few pre-written posts up, but I’ve actually been without power for four days, so sorry about the sporadic posting. It’ll take me a couple days to get back on track including with Julep July (there will be two posts one day) but here’s a little posting of Julep Alaina in the meantime. This is not what I’m supposed to share today but it’s what I have 🙂
Julep Alaina is one of those polishes I’ve had quite awhile as a result of a mystery box but intentionally not swatched, because I just wasn’t very interested in it and didn’t think it would be a hit. I was pretty sure it would be a swatch for the blog and give away type polish, and that’s because the swatches I’ve seen of it online make it seem quite brown. However it is described as “driftwood taupe crème”, as there’s a definite grey/taupe element to the polish that turns it into something I just might wear.
I’m especially tempted by Julep Alaina because the formula is fantastic. One coat is near opacity and it’s two in the pictures. There’s an incredibly glossy finish (no top coat) and although it’s not my favourite polish ever, there’s something wearable and a bit unique about Julep Alaina. I don’t know. I’m still undecided.
