Things I love: purple, nail polish, and other beauty bloggers. As a result of this month’s Canadian Beauty Bloggers theme of PURPLE, I get to combine all three by hosting Nicole from Nicole About Town again on Writing Whimsy. I actually first had Nicole on the blog back in April and you can check out her favourite beauty tools here and I’m really excited to have her back!
Hey everyone,
I would like to thank Zoe for hosting me once again here on Writing Whimsy!
Today in honour of the colour purple, I bring to you a very quick an easy purple manicure that has a fun little twist. This is one of the manicures I wear all the time. Not only is it classy and fun, but it is super easy and only takes 5 minutes. I like to call this one Purple Rain!
Step 1: Start with clean nails. You can use a base coat, but for the life of me, I can’t find mine anywhere!
Step Two: Apply one coat of Morgan from Julep! By the time that you have one coat on each hand, it is pretty much dry and ready for the next step.
Step three: Apply a second coat of Morgan from Julep! Look at that shine! Now if this is all you want, feel free to skip the next step. Personally, while I love this shade of purple on it’s own, I want to add a little something something to it.
Step four: Add one or two coats of Blogger by Picture Polish to an accent nail of your choice! *side note* There was no way I could not own a polish named Blogger! Like really, it was meant to be!
Step five: Apply your Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat liberally to each nail and let dry!
That’s it! We are all done. I am not kidding when I say that this literally takes five minutes to do. I’ve done this manicure multiple times in the office in the morning after forgetting to paint my nails the night before.
I would like to thank Zoe for once again allowing me to hijack her blog for a moment!
Thank you so much Nicole for stopping by. Make sure to check out Nicole About Town for more great posts!
