Guess Dare

Guess Dare 3Based on the packaging on the brand, I don’t think I ever would have gravitated towards the fragrance Guess Dare*, but something about the crisp, fruity description of the scent caught my attention and I am so glad it did.

Guess Dare 2Guess Dare comes in a box printed with a faded jean design, reminiscent of the brand’s clothing, and rose-gold studded detail. Inside the box, the bottle is fairly classy with the rose gold and pale pink liquid in a pear-shape, but I’m not a huge fan of the chain detail, though I love the edginess of the cap. However, what really matters is what is inside the bottle, with is a delicious scent that is absolutely perfect for summer.

Guess Dare 4Guess Dare is a fresh, fruity and floral scent that starts off with a citrus freshness due to the kumquat, layered on a more floral heart including jasmine and wild rose. Finally, the base notes are include coconut (which is not overly present or artificial, as I really hate the scent of coconut) along with soft wood and musky notes. The end result is a fragrance that sweet, with a soft musk and floral notes to it, kept fresh by the crisp citrus elements. Lasting power was about five hours on me, which is decent for an EdT, especially a lighter one. However the sillage, or ability to smell the scent nearby, isn’t super strong, which makes it nice for a work environment where you don’t want to overwhelm everyone with your smell (even a nice one!)

Guess DareGuess Dare is my first taste of Guess perfumes, and although I have never been drawn to the brand in the past, it has definitely got my attention now with this perfect summer scent. The other Guess scents I’m really interested in are the Guess Girl ones, especially Guess Girl Summer.

Have you ever tried a Guess perfume before? What do you think of Guess Dare?
