After finding that the Garnier Fructis Fruit Sensation Grapefruit Tonic Shampoo and Conditioner was just not moisturizing enough for my hair, it was suggested I test out the Garnier Sleek & Shine Shampoo* and Conditioner* as an alternative. I love the scent of Garnier haircare, and products aimed at “frizzy, dry hair” seemed like a perfect match, so I agreed, and for the last couple weeks I’ve been using this duo.
A conditioner is generally moisturizing by definition, but finding a non-drying shampoo that washes your hair without stripping it, is a lot harder. That’s why I’ve been so impressed by the Garnier Sleek & Shine Shampoo. It starts with a yummy apricot scent, along with some Moroccan Argan Oil, and when I wash my hair with it there’s actually a moisturizing lather that leaves my hair feeling softer and less tangled–even before I add the conditioner. Of course, if you have dry hair like I do, conditioner is still a necessary step. The Garnier Sleek & Shine Conditioner smells great, and it’s incredibly thick in consistency. If I use just these two products and skip the hair mask and bonus leave-in conditioner, my hair still feels soft and there are way fewer frizzy bits than usual. This is an intensive conditioner all on its own, and my hair (and scalp) love the results.
I love good smelling haircare–and the Garnier Sleek & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner have a yummy apricot scent that definitely qualifies–but the most important thing is that they provide moisture to help tame my dry, frizzy hair. That’s exactly what this line of haircare promises, and it’s also what it delivers. I especially love the shampoo, and I’m curious about the other haircare products in the line, in particular the Garnier Sleek & Shine Leave-in Conditioning cream meant for very dry or curly hair; cause that is definitely what I have!
