Finish 6 by Winter

Finish 6 by Winter 9Even as I was failing miserably at my Finish 5 by Fall Challenge, I was putting together products in my head for the next one.  Just because I couldn’t finish any of my 5 products last time, doesn’t mean I can’t finish an extra one this time around, so that’s why I’ve joined up for Finish 6 by Winter. Last year I sorta attempted something called Finish 6 by Christmas, but then never posted an update, so this time around I’m sticking to once-per-season updates and I’m committed. Here’s a closer look at what I picked.

Finish 6 by Winter 5 Finish 6 by Winter 4Flower Beauty Color Play Creme Eyeshadow in Wild Geranium: This is the only product I own by Flower Beauty, but I really love it. It’s a cream shadow with a mousse texture, and the shade is stunning. I often reach for this as a one shadow look and although it doesn’t take much, I think I’ve made a decent amount of progress. Given the consistency of the product I’m worried about it expiring more quickly, so I figured I’d swap out my Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Eyeshadow and work on this one instead. Finish 6 by Winter 7L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder*: You can’t actually tell but I swear I’ve made a dent in this foundation. I really love the flawless finish it gives, and it’s the foundation I’ve been focusing on the most, so I want to see if I can actually finish a bottle before 2015 is up!

Finish 6 by Winter 8Lady Gaga Fame Eau De Parfum*: This is a pretty tiny 15 mL bottle of a scent I love that’s perfect for fall, so I figured I’d focus my attention on something I might actually be able to finish. I do love the packaging though, so I will be sad to say goodbye if I do finish it.

Finish 6 by Winter 2Benefit Benetint: I actually put an even smaller sample of this in last year’s Finish 6 by Christmas, but it’s back again. I like this rosy tint, especially in the colder months, and I figure it could be a nice base to another blush so I’m not stuck using the same one for 3 months. I have a ton of blushes and tints and this is a mini so it’s not as scary.

Finish 6 by Winter 3Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in Passion*: I absolutely adore these Fresh balms, and this shade is a gorgeous slightly red berry tint for fall. I’ve used it a bit, and it’s a mini, so it seems achievable, and given how many of these I have in my collection it’s probably a good idea for me to finish a few. I actually don’t have a backup of Passion at the moment though, so there’s a possibility I may end up replacing it when it’s gone.

Finish 6 by WinterBurberry Lip Glow in Nude Rose*: Sigh. I really failed at this gloss during the Finish 5 by Fall so I decided to try it again with my Finish 6 by Winter challenge. It’s a nice pretty sheer gloss which would be quite satisfying to finish, so hopefully I can.

Finish 6 by WinterWell that’s it. 6 products, 3 months. I do have 2 minis in there (the tint and balm), and one that’s basically a mini (the fragrance) so hopefully that makes my Finish 6 by Winter more achievable than my last challenge. It’ll be fun to compare the progress in a few months!

Are you joining in on Finish 6 by Winter? Let me know, I’d love to check out your post if you are!
