I am often tempted by limited edition palettes but if you’re only going to pick up one, my current favourite is definitely the Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette.
The Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette is an adorable pink palette in the 9-pan, metal box packaging that the brand regularly uses. It palette has a magnetic closure and is quite sturdy. Each palette also comes with two sheets of stickers you can use to decorate it. The stickers are really adorable–there’s even a unicorn!–but I actually perfect the palette the way it is. It is a really fun idea to customize your palette though.
Inside, the Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette contains a mix of bright and neutral shades that’s perfect for somebody like me that wants to experiment with colour, but still needs some safety. There are also a mix of shimmers and mattes. The larger pans are highlight shades that will be more useful, which I think is convenient because no matter what look I go with I’ll use an inner corner and brow bone highlight. There’s also a nice big mirror on the lid, and a little guidebook with three looks to help inspire you.
The Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette includes Double Scoop, a pale peachy matte, Shooting Star, a shimmery champagne and Unicorn, an icy iridescent white. There’s also Bunny Fu-Fu, a medium burnt orange matte, Clover, a yellowish green metallic, and I <3 TF, a bright blue-toned fuschia with sparkles. Finally, there’s Chocolate Donut, a dark matte brown, Storm Cloud, a teal/brown duochrome, and Meow!, a blackened purple shimmer.
I had seen a couple mixed reviews about the Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette so I wasn’t sure which to expect but overall I really loved the formulas and shades provided. I found the shades creamy and pigmented, without much fallout at all. The only shades that were a tiny bit more work are Meow! and I <3 TF, otherwise they were all perfect with the standouts being Shooting Star, Bunny Fu-Fu, Clover and Storm Cloud.
In the above look I’m wearing the shade Shooting Star on the inner corner, Clover all over the lid, and Chocolate Donut in the crease/outer corner. I’ve also applied Double Scoop as a brow bone highlight. I really love that Clover shade and I was very impressed by the wear of the Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette. Even without primer, these shades lasted at least 7 hours without fading. I can’t wait to experiment with the rest of the shadows!
It’s been awhile since I’ve tried out a new Too Faced palette, but I definitely understand the panicked rush to grab their limited edition palettes because after trying out the Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette I don’t want to miss any of them. These shadows are not only a perfect mix of colours and neutrals for me, but the formula is awesome as well.
Do you rush out to get limited edition palettes? Have/will you pick up the Too Faced Totally Cute Eyeshadow Palette?
