Yeah, I have wanted the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette for a long time, so when it went (slightly) on sale at Sephora, I just couldn’t resist this perfect jewel-toned and neutral palette any longer (check out the rest of my haul here). Everything from the packaging to the shades inside is glamorous and vibrant. When I finally got it and tried it out? Love at first swatch.
The leather and gold packaging of Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette is gorgeous, and the palette itself isn’t too bulky. It has ten shadows, mainly shimmery, and overall the quality of them is quite amazing. The two matte shades (Dainty and Charming) are slightly patchier, and Miss Sparkles has a lot of glitter which definitely causes fall out, but other than that I think the swatches speak for themselves.
I was surprised by how much I loved the shade Jailbird out of the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette. It’s an icy blue that’s super creamy and gorgeous and I don’t really know how I’m going to use it but it’s just flawless. Gangsta is a perfect bronzy neutral, while Girly has a fantastic brown/green duochrome to it (more noticeable in the pan than in my swatch, but you can definitely see it on the skin as well!) Totally Fetch is totally unlike anything else in my collection.
I’ve done two different looks using the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette, one that is a lot more neutral and which I actually wore to work, using the left side of the palette, and one using the right side of the palette where I went a bit crazy.
For this look, I used Ringleader for the inner corner, which is a gorgeous illuminating shade, Dainty on the browbone and to blend out shades, Gangsta over most of the lid with a touch of Instigator in the centre, and some Charming to darken up the crease.
For my second look from the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette, I wanted to go overboard crazy but apparently I still can’t quite manage it. However I did use Miss Sparkles on my eyebrows (it wasn’t very obvious with the glitter like I thought). I lined my lower lashes with Jailbird, which I’m really just in love with, and used Badass on my lid, blending out to Miss Sparkles, for a sort of galaxy-inspired look.
I’m actually wearing Totally Fetch from the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette as a blush! I went a bit heavy with it, but if you aren’t comfortable wearing pink eye shadow, it definitely works as one. I want to try it as an eyeshadow as well because it has a really pretty sheen to it, it just didn’t quite fit into the look I was doing. Be kind, I haven’t quite figured out the crazy makeup thing apparently!
Wear time on the shadows in the Too Faced Pretty Rebel Palette is great, they still looked really pretty at the end of my work day and I love that they don’t waste space with a useless applicator but give you a massive mirror. The shadows are amazing, and for my first experience with Too Faced eyeshadows… super impressed. I know I will get a lot of use out of this palette and I’m so glad I finally took the plunge.
