With the hot weather we’ve been having I’m actually currently writing this post by candlelight to avoid turning on the hotter lights in my apartment, so it seems pretty appropriate to share the Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in Rosy Glow and Warm Glow. These two limited edition highlighting powders mimic the glow of candlelight without requiring that you carry around an actual flame.
Starting off with some lovely reflective boxes, I really love the packaging of the Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in Rosy Glow and Warm Glow. The powder highlighters themselves are have a gold bottom and a cream lid with gold and pink text that has a very “antique” feel to it.
Inside the compact, the Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in Rosy Glow and Warm Glow have a large mirror on the lid and feature, unsurprisingly, a two complementary tones of highlighter. You can definitely also mix together, which is what I usually do although there is enough space to use them individually. The powder has a candelabra embossed on it as well as the Too Faced logo. It also comes with loads of products (10 grams) so it’s a great way to get two shades in one package.
The Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in Rosy Glow includes a white gold shimmer on the left and a pink with a golden sheen on the right. The texture is soft without being at all powdery. Both shades have a frosted finish and blended together I get a cool-toned light pink with a golden sheen. The end result is a little metallic, so you might notice pores depending on how heavy a hand you use. For the record, I need to use a much heavier hand when applying highlighter for photos but hopefully you can see the nice glow along the tops of my cheekbones.
The Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in Warm Glow includes a light golden champagne on the left and a light golden peach on the right both with a shimmery finish. Blended together, I get a golden peach shimmer. The formula is fairly soft (the right side is a bit firmer) but not powdery, and it’s very blendable. On the skin, it really does give a luminous, candlelight glow.
In terms of wear, I found that Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo lasted most of the day on me and where similar to most powder products. Ultimately, whether you’re looking for a Rosy Glow or a Warm Glow there’s a Too Faced highlighter for you, and the best part it is, it comes with two options and provides a luminous, candlelight glow to the skin!
Which shade appeals to you more, the Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder Duo in Rosy Glow or Warm Glow? I just love warm-toned highlight shades, so even though the formula on both is gorgeous, I’ve got to admit Warm Glow is my favourite for the two.
