Back in June I shared the flawless finish of the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation, and it turns out that everyone–myself included–loved it so much the brand also launched a matching concealer. I’ve been using the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Light and so today I’m going to share some before and after photos, swatches, and of course, my thoughts on the product.
The Too Faced Born This Way Concealer is available in 10 shades, which is a pretty good starting range and hopefully, like the foundation, will be expanded in the future. This concealer comes in lovely packaging, which is similar to the foundation but not in a glass bottle–and I’m glad it’s not, I like to keep concealer in my purse and glass does not work for that! However it does still have that lovely gold Too Faced embossing around the top.
The Too Faced Born This Way Concealer has a doefoot applicator. The concealer is infused with coconut water, like the Foundation, and also contains Alpine rose, meant to brighten skin, and hyaluronic acid, for smoother skin. I don’t get my skincare from my makeup, but good ingredients never hurt!
I have the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Light, which is a light, warm-toned shade that matches my skin pretty perfectly. It is much thinner consistency than the foundation, which means that while it is quite pigmented it can be sheer out a bit. It’s very cream and nobody wants a concealer to look cakey so I think the formula is great for a natural finish.
In the above look I’m wearing no face makeup and then I’ve applied just the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer in Light. If you do have fine lines I find that this creases a little on it’s own, but I feel like most concealers do and it’s definitely one of the better ones I have tried in that regard.
On lazy days, I really like reaching for just concealer to help with any redness and blemishes, and this one does a great job helping to minimize both issues. It brightens under my eyes, and helps reduce the redness and scaring on my nose and chin. However it’s not super full coverage, so if you’re looking to hide tattoos this won’t do the job. But for a natural finish that looks like you were “born this way”? Perfect.
If you’re looking for a new, lightweight concealer with a natural finish and a great creamy consistency to it definitely try out the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer!
Do you have a favourite product from Too Faced? They are definitely one of my favourite brands at the moment! Have you tried out the Born This Way Foundation or Concealer yet?
