essie Resort 2016 Collection Swatches + Review

Essie Resort 2016 Collection Swatches + ReviewIt feels like SPRING. You are getting this post super late in the day because I stayed up late last night finishing season 2 of Daredevil (#noregrets) and therefore scheduled nothing for the blog today! But I’m home right now, letting the sunshine pour in through my windows (my office doesn’t have any) and I have some equally bright and cheerful polishes to share with you from the essie Resort 2016 Collection*.

Essie Resort 2016 Essie Delhi Dance Swatchessie Delhi Dance is a gorgeous Pepto-Bismol pink creme with a great formula that requires two coats for opacity.

Essie Resort 2016 Essie Going Guru Swatchessie Going Guru is a pastel green creme that has some slight formula issues. I went with 2-3 coats, but it was a bit gloopy and so there was some patchiness (you can see it near the cuticle on my middle finger) that made it more difficult to work with. That said, the end result is quite pretty.

Essie Resort 2016 Essie Nama-Stay The Night Swatchessie Nama-Stay The Night is a bright medium blue creme, and one of those shades I can just never resist. It doesn’t hurt that this one also has a flawless, even formula that’s nearly opaque with 1 coat, although I went with two.

Essie Resort 2016 Essie Taj-Ma-Haul Swatchessie Taj-Ma-Haul is a brown-ish orange creme I honestly can’t describe the colour of. This shade is super unique and while I can’t decide if I like it or not, I like that I don’t have anything like it. The formula is pretty good, I used 2 coats and you can still see through it a tiny bit.

Overall, I wasn’t super won over by the last essie collection I reviewed but they have reminded me why they are one of my favourite brands of polish with the essie Resort 2016 Collection. The mix of shades in this little collection is gorgeous but of course my favourite is essie Nama-Stay The Night–I just can’t resist a blue!

What’s your favourite shade from the essie Resort 2016 Collection? How would you describe essie Taj-Ma-Haul? (Yes, do my job for me, thank you!)
