In addition to the Essie Winter 2014 Collection, there were two brand new glitter top coats released this winter. The Essie Luxeffects 2014 additions were Essie Rock At The Top* and Essie Summit of Style*, and today I have both of them swatched and share for you.
I accidentally gave myself a bit of a late Christmas manicure by applying Essie Rock At The Top over a red polish. It’s a bright yellow gold glitter with a combination of small glitter and larger hexes. It would also be great year-round, you just have to not put it on top of a Christmassy red…
My personal favourite of the two shades is definitely Essie Summit of Style, which has the exact same style of glitter as Essie Rock At The Top, but with a bronzey rose gold instead of yellow gold shade to it. It’s a really pretty shade, and I have seen a couple other bloggers use it in a gorgeous glitter gradient I will have to try next!
Both Essie Rock At The Top and Essie Summit of Style have a similar formula. The glitter is well suspended and not gloopy. They apply evenly and with good coverage in one coat. Oh, and like all glitter, these have *the removal process*. But let’s not talk about that.
What do you think of the Essie Luxeffects 2014 Collection?
