Before that unplanned hiatus when I went on vacation (but there were puppies!) I shared my Rebellious Valentine’s Day Makeup Look which included a berry pink lip from essence. Today I’m back to share a full review of three different shades of the essence longlasting lipstick which are Get the Look*, Wear Berries!* and Blush My Lips*.
I’ve previously reviewed the essence longlasting lipstick in Coral Calling, Colour Crush & Adorable Matt! and I was really impressed by the formula and packaging so I was excited to try out three new shades. The essence long lasting lipsticks in Get the Look, Wear Berries! and Blush My Lips come in a black tube with a coloured band that matches the shade inside. The lipsticks are pretty lightweight, but the embossing of the essence ‘e’ on the bullet gives it a more expensive feel and I really love that touch.
Starting with the bad news, I really feel like I don’t have to say much about the essence longlasting lipstick in Get the Look. This baby pink might be comfortable to wear, but the uneven, streaky finish it not very flattering at all.
The essence longlasting lipstick in Wear Berries! is a really pretty berry pink with opaque, even coverage that applies perfectly. All three shades are really creamy and almost moisturizing to wear on the lips.
Finally, there’s the essence longlasting lipstick in Blush My Lips, a bright reddish fuchsia that really makes a statement. I was actually surprised by how much I loved this shade, but it’s a perfect pick if you don’t wear bold lips too often and want to get a budget-friendly option. Even if you can spend more money, this is a gorgeous, worthwhile shade.
We just won’t talk about that one shade, because two of these three essence longlasting lipsticks are huge hits with me. I love the sleek packaging, the moisturizing, the fact that they are creamy in both finish and texture, and of course the price tag. I highly recommend the essence longlasting lipstick in Wear Berries! and Blush My Lips. I don’t know how many other shades there are but I would definitely consider picking up a couple more after my experience with these! What do you think?
