Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray

Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray 7After sadly finishing up my Dove Pure Care Dry Oil Shampoo* (reviewed here) I was lucky enough to be sent a second new line from the brand to test out, the Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo*, Conditioner*, Leave-in Foam* and Root Lift Spray*, which promises to add moisture and volume to fine, flat hair. I don’t actually have fine, flat hair but I loved the one product I tried from this line before, the Dove Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray (reviewed here) so I figured I’d test out the rest as well. Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray 6Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo has a fresh smell that comes across as aquatic to me and is perfect for summer. It’s definitely a clean scent. The shampoo texture is a bit runny and light, and definitely doesn’t weight down my hair. I think this would be a great choice for somebody who shampoos daily and doesn’t have a dry scalp, but although it lathers up well, when combined with the conditioner there’s just not quite enough moisture for my hair or head. Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray 5The Dove Oxygen Moisture Conditioner has more gel-like consistency than an average conditioner, rather than being creamy. That said, it does still provide moisture, just without weighing hair down. I don’t find any of these products leave my hair frizzy, but the truth is that sometimes my hair needs to be weighed down— the alternative is a bit of poof, and so except if I was an situation where I was washing my hair near daily (for example when I’m at the beach during the summer with the salt water) the Dove Oxygen Moisture line wouldn’t be my first choice. Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray 3Although the shampoo and conditioner are good, the standouts from this line are definitely the styling products. The Dove Oxygen Moisture Leave-in Foam is again, a light–sorry, there’s that word again– foam that manages to help styling without weighing hair down. I run some of this through my still damp hair, and when it dries there is absolutely no crunchy feeling. If a traditional mousse is to heavy or crunchy for you, this product is definitely worth trying out.
Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray 4Finally, there’s the Dove Oxygen Moisture Root Lift Spray, which I did previously review but I took another photo with my new pretty light set up anyway. I like adding this product to my roots to help boost them up because my long hair means that’s where it’s most likely to be looking a bit flat. It’s not as intensive as dry shampoo, but there’s also no white cast, so I tend to reach for it more for second or third day hair rather than immediately after a shower.

Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift SprayDove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray 2Overall, I’d recommend the Dove Oxygen Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave-in Foam and Root Lift Spray in particular for its target audience–fine, flat, hair. The shampoo and conditioner aren’t quite enough moisture for me, but I really appreciate the crunch-free leave-in foam as well as the boost that the root lift spray gives. If you’re like me and looking for something more moisturizing I highly recommend the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil line, which I really love.
