In all of my holiday rush I did miss posting about one product from the gorgeous Dior Holiday 2015 State of Gold Collection. Now that a few sparkly bits from the Spring 2016 Collection have shown up, I wanted to quickly post about this DiorShow Fusion Mono in Blazing (631)*. Even though I’m late posting, it’s currently still available on the Dior website and you may be able to find it in stores as well.
The DiorShow Fusion Mono in Blazing comes in a glass pot with a black lid engraved with the silver Dior logo and includes a firm sponge-tipped applicator. The back half of the applicator comes off to be used as a cap, which keeps in clean for storage or traveling.
I LOVE cream shadows but I had never tried the DiorShow Fusion Mono formula before, and it’s quite unique. It’s firm, but almost bouncy/spongy in consistency. The shade Blazing is champagne-leaning gold which is soft and loaded with shimmer.
You can apply the DiorShow Fusion Mono in Blazing with your fingertip (left swatch) for a more sheer finish, or use the applicator (right swatch) for a slightly more dense finish. However the shade is not going to be fully opaque. I think this would be really gorgeous layered over other shadows, for example if you just dabbed in the middle of the lid. There’s lots of depth to the shimmer and it’s not at all gritty. The shade did crease on its own without a primer, but I always wear a primer these days anyway.
Okay, that’s officially the end of my holiday coverage, but what a lovely, sparkly note to finish on! In addition to the DiorShow Fusion Mono in Blazing (631) there’s a gorgeous lineup of shades available permanently and I’m especially lusting over shades like Chimére, Millenium, Météore and Hypnotique. SO PRETTY. You really have to see these shadows in person to appreciate how gorgeous their sparkle is.
