If you love the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks as much as I do, or if you just love pretty new products for summer, then I have EXCITING NEWS. The Dior Summer 2016 Milky Dots lineup includes a brand new formula, the Dior Addict Milky Tint, which offers a pastels wash of colour with a wet effect. There are 4 shades available in Canada and I have two, the Dior Addict Milky Tint in Milky Peach and Milky Pop.
In terms of packaging, the Dior Addict Milky Tints look exactly the same as the Fluid Sticks. The formula is very “wet” and runny so although they look bright in the tubes, they apply more like a tint. It’s a very comfortable product to wear, with lots of shine and no stickiness, but it can move around a little bit outside of the lips if you don’t pay attention because of how slippery it is.
The Dior Addict Milky Tint in 356 Milky Peach is a sheer melon orange. Both shades are super summery to me, and this is a perfect option if you are a bit scared of orange. The extra-glossy, ‘wet’ appearance of these tints really gives that just bitten popsicle look to the lips and despite the sheer shades they do leave behind a bit of a stain.
The Dior Addict Milky Tint in 376 Milky Pop is a sheer bright pink. Again, this is the kind of shade that usually scares me, but in this formula it’s totally wearable. I find the moment I apply the Milky Tints they might look a tiny bit uneven, but as soon as it has a few minutes to warm up and melt into the lips it looks perfect. I love a lot of products from Dior, but their lip products are at the very top of that list (okay, so are their face powders/blushes) and this new formula is just perfect for summer. In addition to the Dior Addict Milky Tint in Milky Peach and Milky Pop you can also pick up the shades Milky Pastel and Milky Plum–I really want to see what the Milky Plum shade looks like!
In addition to the Milky Tints, the Dior Summer 2016 Collection includes the return of the Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in Beige Sunrise, which I reviewed last year (so check it out here!) It’s a sheer nude gloss with a cooling/plumping effect that’s perfect for year-round use.
Have you tried the original Fluid Sticks from Dior? What do you think of this new Milky Tint formula?
