Wow it’s actually officially Fall! I guess this is a good time to finish up blogging Fall releases because I bet Holiday/Winter is going to show up in my mailbox any day now. I did previously shares a few of the Dior Fall 2016 Skyline Collection products, including the nail polish and lipsticks, but today I’m back with the new and limited edition Dior 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Parisian Sky and Capital of Light.

The Dior Fall 2016 Skyline Collection 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes feature the classic Dior quint packaging, which is a black plastic with embossed silver logo on the exterior and a large mirror with two foam-tipped applicators inside. I really love the closure, which is one you push in so it’s secure but you don’t have to worry about breaking any nails. The Fall palettes have a gorgeous lace-like design embossed on the shadows themselves, stunning!

The Dior Fall 2016 Skyline 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Parisian Sky (506) is the cool-toned quint of the two. It includes a sandy brown, a champagne nude, a pale icy blue, a dark chocolate brown and a light grey. The texture on these shadows is lovely but they are a little sheer. In general, I recommend Dior palettes if you are looking for a more natural look, even when using unusual shades like these.

I love the way that icy mint blue looks on the inner corner, and the light brown is perfect all over the lid while the nude makes a great highlight. These shades are a bit outside my comfort zone, but they are fun to play with.

I instantly fell in love with this colour combination when I saw it, and the love continued after I swatched it. The palette includes a shimmery olive green, a pale white, a light caramel brown, and burgundy plum, and a pink. The formula is also great on these shades, which I find a bit more pigmented than the other palette.

Of course I had to try that pink shade from the Dior Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette in Capital of Light all over the lid, after all, I’m not scared of pink shadow. I really love the way it looks paired with the plum in the crease and the nude on the inner corner. I also used the Dior Diorshow Mascara in Pro Magenta on my lashes.

My person pick are the rosy warm tones of Capital Light but they are both lovely options from Dior. Which one is your favourite?
