I’ve already shared the Dior 5 Couleurs Glowing Gardens Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Garden (451) from the Dior Glowing Gardens Spring 2016 Collection, but if there’s one product that had my attention as soon as I saw the press release, it was definitely the highlighters. These Dior Glowing Pink Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder* and the Dior Glowing Nude Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder* are limited edition, collector pieces that also happen to be really stunning on the skin.
The Dior Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder in Glowing Pink and Glowing Nude come in circular silver compacts with a small white kabuki brush, exactly the same as the Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition Blushes I fell in love with this summer. The compacts have a magnetic closure and a large mirror on the lid. Of course, each highlighter also comes with the signature Dior dust bag for safe keeping.
The Dior Glowing Gardens Spring 2016 Collection includes both a pink, cool-toned highlight and a warm, gold option. Both are embossed with the same intricate floral design featuring the text NUDE on top. It definitely makes for a stunning, collectible piece.
The Dior Glowing Pink Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder is a pale, pearly-pink highlighter with cool undertones. It has tons of shimmer but can definitely be applied more softly or built up. I think this is a pretty unique, gorgeous shade that would be especially flattering on lighter skintones. Warm-toned highlighters are far more common, so it’s exciting to see a product like this from Dior, even if I wish it was permanent instead of limited edition.
I find it very hard to capture the effect of the Dior Glowing Pink Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder on camera, but I am wearing it in the above photo. The consistency of the highlighter is somewhere between firm and soft, it is quite finely milled and blendable. Even though it is a light highlighter there’s not a strong white base, which makes it a lot easier to wear. My skin is quite warm-toned so I didn’t find it looked very pink on me, but that may differ depending on your skin.
The Dior Glowing Nude Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder is a light peachy gold highlighter with warm undertones. This shade is definitely darker and slightly more pigmented, but it still is very blendable and can be applied lightly so that I think it would work on a large range of skintones.
In the above photo I’m wearing the Dior Glowing Nude Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder along with the lovely MAC Spring Flock Blush and I do love the combination. I don’t find that these highlighters are especially long-lasting on me but they do look gorgeous! Besides, I wouldn’t mind pulling out a compact this stunning if I wanted to reapply.
There’s a good chance you didn’t even read this blog post and just looked at the photos of the gorgeous Dior Diorskin Nude Air Illuminating Powder in Glowing Pink and Glowing Nude and were sold. I don’t blame you. Honestly, it may already be difficult to find these highlighters in stock (I’m sorry!) but if you can I definitely recommend picking them up. Which shade are you lusting over more, Glowing Pink or Glowing Nude?
