Wow. The blog posts around here have been super sporadic lately! I really hope this is about to change, but sometimes life gets in the way. However, it’s the weekend now and I hope I’ll get back into my routine of lots of blogging for the week ahead because I have so many fun and pretty things to share with you, including the new Dior Diorshow Brow Chalk!
The Dior Diorshow Brow Chalk is a part of the Fall 2016 Skyline Collection which includes some stunning lipsticks and wonderful polishes I’ve already reviewed. This limited edition product is available in three different shades, 001 Blonde, 002 Soft Brown, and 003 Dark Brown (not included in this post). It’s a soft, thick pencil with a flat edge to it, and it twists up easily for more product. I think it’s a bit strange to make a brow product LE, but hopefully if it gets enough love during this launch Dior will bring it back.
I have the Dior Diorshow Brow Chalk in Blonde, an ashy taupe, and Soft Brown, a medium-dark cool-toned brown. I really love how cool-toned both shades are because I often find brow products way too warm. Both shades are a bit darker than you’d expect, but definitely work on a range of brows, just use a lighter hand.
The Dior Diorshow Brow Chalk is a bit soft and creamy, and I just apply it using the long edge along my brows and then brush it out with a spoolie. The spoolie bit is definitely necessary for me because I like a more natural brow. It’s also really quick to do my brows because of how much colour gets deposited, you don’t have to draw in tiny hairs for 20 minutes. The chalk lightly holds my hair in place, so if you aren’t working with much hair it could replace a wax or gel, but I do find my brows go a bit astray if I don’t add a brow gel. That said, this is a waterproof product and the colour lasts all day, even in this super hot weather.
If you’re looking for a longwearing brow product that’s super quick to apply and gives a slightly bolder brow, I definitely recommend checking out the Dior Diorshow Brow Chalk.
Have you ever tried a product like this before? It’s definitely unique in my collection!
