Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Sticks Review and Swatches

Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Pink 2It’s pretty clear from my blog that I love two things a lot: cream blushes, and anything in a crayon format, so when brands combine the two into one products, it’s almost always a win for me. Finally, Dior has launched their own version, the Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Sticks*.

Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Sticks SwatchesThe Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Sticks are jumbo-sized, twist up crayons with a slightly rounded, pigmented cream blush inside, similar to the Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm. The packaging is classic, sleek Dior with silver detailing and  a colorful ring around the base that makes it easy to tell the shades apart. It’s similar to the Diorshow Kohl Stick, but with the added bonus that you don’t have to look at the bottom to know which colour you’re reaching for, so I love it.

Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Coral 2The Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Sticks are sadly limited edition and available in three different shades: Cosmopolite Coral, Cosmopolite Rosewood and Cosmopolite Pink. I’ve been using them all over the last few weeks, so I have swatches, makeup looks and of course, my opinion of them to share.

Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Coral SwatchFirst up is the incredibly vibrant shade Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Coral (675). This shade is super dark, but as you can see in my swatch, it is definitely blendable–I actually should have left it more intense for my photo but blush always gets washed out. Although it looks a little scary swatched, I actually think this colour could work on most skin tones! Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite CoralYou can wear the Diorblush Cheek Sticks both over and under foundation and although I usually wear it over, for a darker shade it’s sometimes nice to layer your foundation on top.  Although all the shades are very creamy to apply, they do have very have a powder finish when you blend them in. Cosmopolite Coral is definitely a bit more summery to me, but if you are looking for a slightly coral, orange blush, this is a gorgeous one with a ton of flexibility depending on how intensely you apply it.

Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Rosewood SwatchIt’s probably no surprise that my favourite of the trio is the Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Rosewood (765) which is a dusty rose. This incredibly wearable shade is perfect for fall, and like Cosmopolite Coral it’s easy to sheer out as well (and again, I probably sheered it out a little too much for pictures!) Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite RosewoodI’m addicted to cream blush and I absolutely love the natural finish of the Diorblush Cheek Sticks. However, the only potential issue is that it doesn’t quite wear all day. I do recommend topping with a powder (translucent, or a powder blush) to get all day wear, especially during the warmer weather. I know that I will be getting a lot of use out of Cosmopolite Rosewood, especially as we go into the fall.

Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Pink SwatchThe final shade is from the collection is the Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Pink (845), and it’s a baby pink that has a very, very subtle shimmer to it, unlike the other two shades which are totally matte. I found that the formula on this one wasn’t quite the same, it was less pigmented and a little less even. Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite PinkI’ve been applying the Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Sticks with both a brush and my fingers. I love dabbing them directly onto my cheeks (very lightly for Coral and Rosewood!) and blending out with my fingers, because I’m quite lazy and it’s super convenient. However especially for the more pigmented shades, I get a gorgeous finish using a stippling brush directly on the product and then applying it to my cheeks that way.

Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Stick Cosmopolite Rosewood 3I brought the Dior Cosmopolite Fall 2015 Diorblush Cheek Sticks on my vacation and while my powder blush (sadly) cracked, these stayed safe, which is yet another win for cream products. These are the very last products I have to share from the fall collection, but they are definitely a great note to end on.

The Dior Cosmopolite collection has a ton of gorgeous products, and I recommend swatching everything you can get your hands on. My personal pick from this line is definitely Cosmopolite Rosewood! Have I sold you on cream blushes yet?
