I really like the whole, makeup in the morning, skin and body care in the evening type system I have going on this week on the blog. Or at least yesterday and today. Although now that I’m back from traveling I hope to catch up on blogging enough so much that you only see me once a day. I know that sounds sad, but you can always reread old posts and look longingly at my selfies. I do have something really lovely to share with you tonight though, the Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme Universal Texture*.
First, I have to tell you about the packaging of the Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme Universal Texture. Now, this is a product with a price tag ($195 CAD) but it comes with 60 mL, which will last me at least a couple months. After knocking an expensive foundation in a glass bottle over (we won’t talk about that) I’m especially appreciative that this cream is store in a plastic container, since I’m applying it with my glasses off.
Despite being plastic, the Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme Universal Texture the packaging is heavy, with a pretty iridescence to it. When you press the button on the front the “main” lid pops up. There’s actually a thin piece of plastic (not pictured) that provides a second layer of protection from contamination inside. Once you finish the tub, you can actually remove the interior and purchase a refill for a discounted price. I love this eco-friendly feature from Dior!
The Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme Universal Texture has a floral scent that I actually really like–but I do love the scent of roses. I don’t find it overwhelming but if you are very sensitive to scent it’s always worth smelling in store first. The cream itself is pale pink and has a lightweight, almost whipped consistency to it. It absorbs into the skin very easily, so I can use it in the morning or evening.
In terms of results, I’ve really been loving the Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme Universal Texture. I had been using a face cream that was not nearly moisturizing enough prior, and as soon as I switched to this one I noticed an immediate difference. I also have dry patches from acne spot treatments, and applying this cream on them helped enormously. The fact that my skin is so moisturized means it’s softer and “plumper” helping to diminish fine lines.
While I have the Dior Capture Totale Multi-Perfection Creme Universal Texture, you can also find a Rich Texture and Light Texture depending on what you are looking for. Honestly, this is the most expensive face cream I have reviewed on Writing Whimsy, but if you have the budget, I’ve really loved using it. Do you ever splurge on skincare?
