I have a bunch of stunning products to share from the brand new Dior Tie Dye Summer 2015 Collection, available May 1st, but in order to give you the best reviews of it, I’ve divided up the posts by product and I’ll be sharing them all week long. I’m starting off with some of the coolest looking products in the collection, the Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipsticks*.
Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipsticks come in the traditional sleek Dior Addict Lipstick packaging, where the bullet pulls out by using the knob at the top, so they actually get stored upside down. The only way to tell them apart–or tell the Tie Dye Lipsticks from the regular line–is by the label on the bottom. Still, I just love Dior packaging, which definitely reminds you why you pay a little more for the brand.
Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipsticks are available in four shades in Canada, which are all shiny, semi-sheer and comfortable to wear. They have one “main” shade and another on inside it which says “CD”. The two shades might not mix together perfectly when swatched once, but they definitely combine on the lips, and the logo goes all the way through the lipstick. The contrasting colours give the Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipsticks a really pretty and unique look, and all the (limited edition) shades are perfect for summer. From left, there’s Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipstick in Red Bliss, Coral Trip, Fuchsia Utopia, and Nude Ever.
The Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipstick in Red Bliss is a shade I’m a bit confused by, because when the red mixes with the inner pink shade, you actually don’t get red at all. On me, it’s a pretty pink with a touch of coral in it. Like all the shades, it is very shiny and incredibly comfortable to wear–which means you get the associated lasting power of only a couple hours. Still, these are some of the few lipsticks that actually feel good on your lips!
I hate to pick favourites, but if I did Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipstick in Coral Trip would have to make the list. It is coral on the outside with a red logo, and the resulting shade is a slightly red leaning coral that looks amazing with a bit of a sun-kissed glow.
Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipstick in Fuchsia Utopia is a dark pink with a lighter pink inside, and blended together a bright pink shade that is sheer enough to still be incredibly wearable. Although how these shades look will differ depending on your own lip colour, I love how easy they are to reapply since they don’t need a mirror.
Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipstick in Nude Ever is a fantastically wearable shade that combines brown with a beige logo for a nude with a peachy tone to it. I’m wearing the Dior Nude Tan Tie Dye Coral Sunset blush in these photos, which is orange-toned, and I love how it looks with the nude lipstick.
I am just in love with the creamy, hydrating formula, wearable summer colours and cool packaging of the Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipsticks. All four shades are great but if I had to narrow it down to two, I’d go for Coral Trip and Nude Ever. If you don’t mind reapplying and are looking for a summer lipstick that is glossy and comfortable to wear, I would definitely check out these gorgeous new releases! Do you have a favourite among the Dior Addict Lipstick Tie Dye Lipsticks?
