Maybe I could promise to post more consistently, but I’m traveling for 8 weeks in the next 3 months and also defending my PhD thesis so… I’ll post when I can. Of course, I feel bad that I haven’t shared the Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks with you sooner, but even if you’ve already seen them over the last month, let this post serve as a reminder of how lovely they are.
The Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks come in sleek black tubes with a pink-tinted acrylic encasing it and the classic Dior “knob” on the end. These are lipsticks with intense colour and a lot of shine. They really just glide onto the lips and the effect is the sort of thing that would work perfectly in a photo shoot…or just for everyday wear!
All four shades of the Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks I tried with vibrant and super glossy. They are also really comfortable to wear, it’s a balm/lipstick hybrid without any skimping on the pigmentation front. There’s a gorgeous range of shades available including a chocolate and purple if you’re feeling adventurous.
The Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks in 344 Rolling is a peachy nude, and it’s the only one where I found that, given the terrible state of my super dry lips with lots of fine lines, the semi-opaque finish looked a little uneven on the bottom lip. You can tell that it looks much better on my top lip (which was in better shape) so this is definitely wearable, but I would exfoliate first.
The Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks in 877 Turn Me Dior is a vibrant raspberry red and that glossy finish just makes your lips look so juicy, even if they suffering after a dry winter. I am so self-conscious with bold lips, but I’m absolutely in love with the way this shade looks!
The Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks in 882 Sassy is a dark fuchsia that’s also just flawless on the lips.
The Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks in 984 Dark Flower is a dark plum. Like Rolling, this shade is a little less opaque but still applies quite smoothly and with lots of shine. Honestly, it makes me think of an Evil Queen lipstick shade (the name probably doesn’t hurt!)
If you are looking for a lipstick that makes your lips look luscious–seriously, that’s the only word I can think of to describe it–then you need the Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks. There’s also a few more neutral shades like La Pink (rosewood), Underground (pink nude) and Lazy (mauve rosewood) I am lusting over pretty badly now!
Have you tried out the Dior Addict Lacquer Sticks? What do you think of these shades?
