Basically everything from Dior is stunning, but one of the products that has been very high on my wishlista are the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks, a combination lipstick/lipgloss with three new shades releasing for Summer 2015. I have the Dior Addict Fluid Stick Tropiques*, Ciel Rose* and Plaisir* shades to share with you today, and luckily all three stunning options will be staying in store permanently.
As always, I have to start with the stunning packaging, and these are no exception. The Dior Addict Fluid Stick packaging is actually quite similar to the Dior Addict Lipsticks (like Dior Addict Tie Dye Lipsticks I reviewed earlier this week) however the bottom third of the base reveals the product, molded into a shape that actually looks like a lipstick bullet. I really love this packaging because it’s super easy to tell the Dior Addict Fluid Stick Tropiques, Ciel Rose and Plaisir shades apart.
When you unscrew the Dior Addict Fluid Stick cap, the wand basically pops out revealing a pointed doefoot applicator that fits comfortably over the lips and leaves just the right amount of product for one layer. Although the Dior Addict Fluid Stick Tropiques, Ciel Rose and Plaisir shades do work with one layer, you can also build it up a little for extra pigmentation. They are fairly opaque, but your own lip colour will still influence them slightly.
Dior Addict Fluid Stick Tropiques is a bright pink with a coral lean to it. This shade was a surprise love, because it’s just so pretty for summer. The shades all depart an incredibly shiny finish, and are fairly long-lasting (around four hours). Although very comfortable at first, they can be slightly drying over time once the shiny finish has begun to fade. They aren’t transfer-proof, but do become slightly tacky and can stand up to light eating or drinking.
Dior Addict Fluid Stick Ciel Rose is a dusty rose, which is my favourite shade of lip product so I instantly knew I would love this one and I was right! I honestly didn’t even wait for photos, since you can’t tell with gloss packaging, and starting using this shade right away! It is a gorgeous, wearable shade and I will continue to reach for it frequently.
Dior Addict Fluid Stick Plaisir is a bright, fuchsia-leaning pink that definitely makes an impact. One of the best things about the Fluid Sticks is how wonderful they make your lips, with such a creamy formula and glossy finish, all fine lines and imperfections disappear. If air brushing your lips was a thing, this is basically the equivalent.
In addition the new Fluid Sticks, I am also wearing the Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye Edition Blush in Pink Sunrise in all these photos, which is a gorgeous LE product from the summer collection.
Overall, I may have waited awhile to finally try the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks, but they did not disappoint. If you are looking for a highly pigmented, incredibly glossy, gorgeous lip colour, I can easily recommend the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks Tropiques, Ciel Rose and Plaisir shades. The only problem is, why are there even more shades I want now…
Have you tried this formula before?
