I was definitely intrigued when I received Demeter Fragrance Iced Berries*, because if you’d asked me what an iced berry smelled like I would have had no clue. That said, I think Demeter did a pretty good job with this fragrance, it just doesn’t happen to be one that particularly works for me.
Demeter Fragrance Iced Berries is a “crisp and cool blend of Raspberries, Blueberries, and Blackberries with a touch of spice.” As much as I enjoy the berry element, it’s the hint of spice that isn’t quite for me. It does take the fragrance from more of a syrupy body mist to something more complex, but the place it takes it isn’t somewhere I am particularly eager to go. I actually think that Demeter Fragrance Iced Berries causes me a headache, but I know everyone is sensitive to different scents so it’s probably not something to be concerned about in general, but it definitely didn’t help improve my feelings for the fragrance.
When it comes to lasting power, Demeter Fragrance Iced Berries is nothing special. It lasts longer than some (Angel Food) but nowhere near as long as others (Caramel, oh delicious caramel…). You would have to touch up during the day if you used this one as a perfume, but the 30 mL bottles are sleek and definitely portable, so if you like the scent I don’t think that would be a big issue. In my case, even though I didn’t mind the scent, it seemed to bother me and I was okay that it didn’t last 15 hours.
Although Demeter Fragrance Iced Berries wasn’t something I fell in love with, it’s an okay berry scent with a spicy element that I probably would have enjoyed more if it hadn’t caused me a headache. If the scent sounds intriguing to you, it’s probably worth checking out, but otherwise there are lots of other Demeter Fragrances out there and there’s bound to be one you’ll like–– now excuse me while I go smell Caramel again…
