Demeter Fragrance Condensed Milk* is the third cologne spray from Demeter I tested out and although I didn’t love it quite as much as Oud and Moonbeam, it was still really nice and unusual.
One of the nice things about Demeter Fragrance Condensed Milk is that it lasted the longest out of all the scents I tried so far, as I could definitely still smell it 4-5 hours after applying it and there was even a faint scent around 7 hours later when I went to sleep.
From the official description of Demeter Fragrance Condensed Milk:
Condensed milk is pasteurized during the evaporation procedure, with the added sugar making any further sterilization unnecessary, since the sugar inhibits the growth of microorganisms. It is also this combination, of milk and sweet sugar, that gives Demeter’s Condensed Milk its distinctive odor.
Perhaps because I have a hard time remembering what condensed milk smells like, it wasn’t my first thought when I smelled Demeter Fragrance Condensed Milk. That said, there is something milky and sweet about it, which seems apt given the name. Despite its sweetness, this isn’t an overpowering scent, which is nice when you’re looking for something lighter but still lovely for winter. I definitely didn’t mind wearing this as I was falling asleep, as it’s quite a comforting smell.
Overall, I’m a little conflicted about Demeter Fragrance Condensed Milk. It’s a scent I enjoyed, and I appreciated the lasting power, but it didn’t blow me away although I always enjoyed it when I was wearing it. There are a lot of really neat Demeter scents available, and if you’re interested in something sweet and milky, this may be one for you.
What do you think of condensed milk? What exactly is it supposed to smell like? I almost feel the need to grab a tin can of it just to compare!
